We had some fun at Balboa on Sunday. It’s a great time of year to visit before all the tourists invade. It was overcast most of the day and that also helped keep the crowds away.
We drove out to Balboa Island then took the Ferry to the Peninsula. Jack was thrilled that our truck was on a boat, even if the Ferry’s maximum load was only three vehicles. A mere five minutes later we arrived at the Fun Zone on the Peninsula.
First we headed to the pier and Ruby’s for lunch. We were seated right away on the roof, no waiting. Great food and a great view!
After lunch we strolled around the Fun Zone and ended up relaxing at the beach. The afternoon slipped by and before we knew it, it was time to drive off the Peninsula and head for home . . .
